What to do when someone does not come

A cancellation is a time that left the book before anyone was due. An absence is a time that passed with the place still empty. If both are written with the same word in a message, reception does not know what to charge or which hour opened up.

In Calendo Health the team separates a parent’s request from an absence, so the charge follows what happened. In Calendo Beauty a cancellation is not recorded as a no-show. In both cases the distinction stays on the appointment, not in a side notebook.

When an appointment moves, the family or the client needs the final time. The first time, the one that was cancelled, does not help anyone arrive. The same is true for reception: if the change lives in a message, the day board still shows the old hour.
